The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link has announced that her office has already mailed over 100,000 Vote-by-Mail ballots for the upcoming Primary Election on Tuesday, August 18. The ballots have been mailed to “…domestic and stateside voters who are eligible to vote and requested to vote by mail in the 2026 Primary Election.” Registered voters may request Vote-by-Mail ballots until August 6.
About voting by mail Sartory Link said, ”Voting by mail is a safe, secure, and convenient option for many voters.” At the same time she reminded voters that other methods of voting other than Vote-by-Mail are available. These include early voting and casting a ballot at the polls on election day. What’s important is voting, not the method one chooses.
How Do I Vote-by-Mail
Sartory Link cautions voters who have renewed or replaced their Florida driver’s license or ID since July 31, 2924 to update their voter registration to Vote-by-Mail in the Primary on August 18. The county uses driver’s licence and state ID numbers to verify identity for Vote-by-Mail requests. It should be remembered that Florida is a closed primary state. What this means is that “…voters must be registered with a political party to vote in that party’s primary election”.
Vote-by-Mail ballots can be requested online, by email or by calling (561) 656-6208. Be sure to have your driver’s license number, state ID number and/or the last four digits of your Social Security number ready. You will be asked.
Tracking is available for Vote-by-Mail ballots using BallotTrax. “Voters who sign up for BallotTrax will receive an alert at each step of the way from the time a voter’s ballot is printed to when it has been counted.” For Vote-by-Mail tracking voters may receive SMS messages, voice calls and/or emails.
